| Pig Eye
Strategy Analyzer
The game is played as
follows. The class stands up. The teacher
repeatedly rolls a die, and records the amount each time
(summing with previous rolls). Students may choose to
sit down at any time, earning however many points were summed
so far. If the die lands on 1, this is called a
"Pig Eye" and the sum resets to zero (and seated
students stand again for the next round).
Students develop
different strategies for earning the most points. After
the game has been played a few times in class, this tool can
be used to analyze the best strategy through simulation. [Fullscreen/Download]
